The Job Market Unit belongs to the Social and Labor Market Administration and the operational area of work & support. The operational area of work & support deals with labor market issues and financial assistance, aiming to help individuals who are outside the labor market to achieve self-sufficiency. Within the Job Market Unit, we have a Job Center as well as practical operations such as a service team, leisure bank, and an internal laundry.

The administration is responsible for individual & family care, financial support, labor market initiatives, and municipal adult education. Our operations are based on a user perspective through collaboration and a holistic view.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a job market consultant with us at the Job Market Unit, you will have a varied and developing role. In this position, you will primarily guide, coach, and follow up participants with a clear educational or job focus by establishing individual plans and implementing various group activities and theoretical initiatives based on participants' needs. As part of your daily work, you will collaborate with various actors, such as other administrations within the municipality, the Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, or other stakeholders. You will have a particular focus on youth aged 16-25. You will be part of our Youth Center, which consists of various support functions in the administration tasked with supporting and guiding youth to the right authority. Additionally, you will also be part of an ongoing project, Youth Power, funded by ESF.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in behavioral science, social science, or another similar education that the employer considers equivalent.

We are looking for someone who has good knowledge and experience of the labor market and the conditions required in working life. Perhaps you have previously worked within a municipal job market unit, the Employment Service, or a similar organization?

You are communicative and have a good understanding that each individual is unique with their strengths, conditions, and background. You have previously worked with supportive and coaching work towards individuals who are far from the labor market. You can plan, document, and follow up on initiatives. The work also involves administration and documentation, which means you need to have good computer skills and the ability to express yourself in writing. Driving may be required in this position, so a B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with youth
• Training in solution-focused methods with experience in guidance and motivational work
• Experience in holding and coordinating groups and working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
